Keep up the good work guys

While I understand the need to live out some alter-ego, my only suggestion is why not try to synchronize your costumes. I understand the individuality of standing out with different costumes, but if everyone wore the same costume, the annonimty it would provide along with idea of being all over the city whenever you turned around would certainly reduce violence. Just a suggestion, and I realize it will never happen, but it would make sense. It’s why the police and military have uniforms. If the goal is reducing violence this would make sense. If it is about self promotion, keep dressing differently.
Just watched the HBO Documentary and i must say ranks up there by Star Wars as my all time fav movie. Is there any in the Saint Louis, Missouri area? I and some others would like to join you. If not anyone in the area ready to start one? My email is Zander.2009@live.com
Does someone know if a real life superheroes team exist in Montreal City (QC) ?
hey guys im just an interested civillian wondering how you guys do it, im amazed and afraid for u, would love to talk to someone and get a sense of drives you and how much thought actually goes into this
I think what you guys is commendable. You are the light in the darkness of these times. i would love to set up a league of heroes in Ireland. Could you send me some info on how to approach my community to involve them. my local area has seen hard times recently and its time for a change.
HI,
You guys are truly inspiring and I want to be a superhero too, but as a 13 year old girl, I’m not sure what I can do. Do you guys know of any groups I can join or people I can contact, or even things I can do?
Hey Same, I live in montreal and would be interested in doing a team…
Living in high crime rated cities my entire life isn’t good. But watching videoes about real heroes and watching KICKASS has inspired me. 16 years old and now waiting for the right oppurtune moment to make a debut as the first hero of Savannah,GA. It would be an honor to hear from other heroes. I represent all of the childrens’ wishes as do all of you. The entire world is black and white, but WE are the GREY line in between to stop crime and war.
Hey Same, im interested in doing something in montreal…
Hi Guys, I live in Australia and just watched your video. I must say that the work you do has inspired me on many levels, as I was starting to believe that our self indulgent lifestyle and individualistic egos was killing our sense of community and the moral fabric that bonds our society. My life is not glamorous, I work with disabled people and volunteer as a community development worker. So I am closely associated with some of the most disadvantaged and marginalized people in my community. To see what you do with the minimal resources you have, the risk you take, and the outcomes you able to achieve as civil vigilantes, is nothing short of commendable. For those you out there who criticize a movement such as this, can only live up to my fear of what I believe society has become.
i just watched this on tv and i was hooked all the way threw. i just wanna say how epic Life is…gonna draw him some fan-art…is there maybe a way i can get in contact with him? because i would love to tell him how epic he is.
also the costume choices for a lot of them are….interesting, i think some tights and a mask would of just work fine :l
also if any one is a real life superhero up in Toronto or aliston, tell me
Does anyone know of any RLSH in Alabama?
Does anyone know of anyone doing work in the Riverside-Corona area in So. Cal.?
I might consider joining soon. Although what I do might go unnoticed.:3
I’m pleased to see people stepping out of the grey mass to be symbols their communities can look up to. No matter how rediculous it might seem – and I admit, I had a hard time keeping a straight face during the documentary – I really understand what you guys are going for, and respect that.
I’ve also wanted to just get out there and get involved where the police are obviously failing, but on your own it’s just dangerous and silly.
Nevertheless justice is often blind, and in Belgium too many criminals barely get a slap on the wrist because the Belgian jails are full. Even attemped murder stabbings only get punished by a couple of months in jail, which is just insane. It’s difficult to believe we’ve come to this. A place where victims get punished more than criminals.
If Belgium had vigilante groups I’d definately support them and perhaps get involved too, but it’s not something I’d be willing or able to start up myself.
Keep up the good work lads, and stay safe. Hoping to see more of you in the media, and that it catches on.
Good Stuff!
Keep up the good work guys ur great
To the RLSH community:
hello i am a student currently in my final year of college and i am currently in the process of formulating an academic research project concerning a sub culture of the united states, if there are any members of this community that would be interested in participating as subjects, informants or consultants i would greatly appreciate thier involvement. while altruistic motives seem to not be lacking within this community there is also a benifet to participation in so much as publicity and recognition from a academic social sciences perspective to allow the public to better understand the RLSH movement and community.
thank you for your time -The Anthropologist
Just saying that this is an idea that I’ve kicked around since childhood. I think it’s time to start training; I’ve got my friends at the ready, and around here there needs to be heroes that will save the people from themselves. I’ve lost 5 friends in a matter of 30 days that I will never laugh with or see face to face, people whose children have tearfully buried that will never hear them say “I love you”. Mankind is turning on itself and before things get worse I want to be one of those who can say that I just didn’t stand there and let it get that way….
you guys are grate you inspired me that’s why i became a super hero.
i just started a superhero team the name THE REAL AVENGERS my name is dark hunter im like green arrow but dark coolers with arm blades.
you guys are great i am from this day on a superhero too !
Where is Phoenix Jones?
I have been thinking about doing something like this. This site has truly inspired and motivated me further my dream.
if id join and wanted to meet up with the R.L.S.H. and become a hero myself whats it take to be ready?
I would like permission to reference The Real Life Superhero Project in a book–my opinion that RLSH are a PROACTIVE, POSITIVE force in a world that all too often seems filled with negativity.
This isn’t really “literature”, per se–just a collection of my interests–to include RLSH.
I’d like to include mentions of many members, as well!
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Curt Wilson
I hope one day I can do this as well. I’m already training myself. Though a costume… a bit hard at the moment. But anyway I found out about you guys. I couldn’t believe it. I was excited to find out there are super heros out there. Real ones, not just the police and firemen, but people who do good everyday. It’s awesome and I pray you guys are kept safe and succeed in your mission to help others.
Hello heroes. I started patrolling the downtown core of my city about two years ago.
I have thwarted many petty crimes in that time and assisted many citizens.
I live by two axioms.
“With great power comes great responsibility” and
“Evil lives when good men do nothing”
I commend the good work you all do.
The world needs more heroes.

saw the documentary on HBO and i never knew there were people who actually cared enough to put themselves in danger and NOT get paid for it. if american’s do not see you as a inspiration, then the United States truly is lost.

I’m a superhero in my city and i know you guys are doing good things, but do you actually fight criminals? If so i think it would be much smarter for al your families and identities if you wore a mask.
Hey guys, I think what you have acomplished so far is wonderful and what you are doing now is even better. I have to ask though, is there anyone that is in Australia? I am from Perth, Western Australia and would be honoured to help out.
Im not new to the crime fighting thing but as for the wearing of a costume, this is all new to me.
Im putting together a costume and Im open for ideas. keep in mind the most common weapon i come across is a simple pocket knife. Which isnt a real problem as it is because ive logged hundreds of hours in self defense training.
